| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Product Description Sleek, professional, and luxurious, the TAG Heuer Carrera automatic chronograph watch for men (model #CV2014.FT6007) is an exquisite timepiece for both business and pleasure. The stainless steel watch case measures 41mm wide (1.61 inches) and it's topped by a black bezel with a tachymeter readout, used for measuring time over distance. The black dial face includes three chrono subdials, thin baton hands (with seconds hand), silver stick hour markers, small minute indexes, and a date window at 3 o'clock. It's completed by a sporty, perforated black rubber strap. Other features include a Swiss-made automatic movement (with a 38- to 42-hour power reserve), highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet)--suitable for swimming but not for diving.

| Customer Reviews: Great Looking, Stopped Working after 40 Days! May 27, 2009 M. King (USA) 42 out of 45 found this review helpful
Bought this on Amazon because it was over $800 cheaper than the best quotes from 3 different stores around town. My particular vendor was Amazon Prime, so with free 2 day shipping this looked pretty sweet. As for the watch design and feel, it is really cool looking. I was looking at the Omega Planet Ocean rubber strap and I'm so much happier with the Tag, until yesterday. Memorial Day, the watch just flat out stopped working. Dead. I take good care of my things, so no drops or bangs, just stopped working. Through AmazonWatches, it comes with a 2 year guarantee. You call an 800 number and they tell you where to send it- on your dime- and tell you that you should receive it within 4-6 weeks. So, I bought a $2000 Tag, and 40 days after opening, it stops, I had the hastle of packing it up and sending it off for $26 insured, and now will not have it for 4-6 weeks, not to mention that I may have a lemon on my hands with constant problems. This shouldn't happen to $2000-$3000 watches. I understand this can 'happen', but what a major disappointment. Hope there are no further issues with this thing. Again, though, the watch is really cool looking, I get lots of great compliments on it, the strap is very sharp, and it wears well. Means nothing if it has issues working!
Update June 19, 2009: I got the watch back from Amazon's 3rd party repair vendor, Swinford Jewelers in Erlanger, KY. The watch worked and was repaired...or so I thought. I went swimming with the watch the day after receiving it back from Swinford Jewelers and the watch took on water. That's right, there was not a tight seal after they repaired the watch and there literally are drops of water you can see in the watch. What's more is that Amazon's customer service has been very polite, but has failed to call me back twice. I have had to call them three times to get any answer and I have to explain the situation each time to a different person. Today, customer service finally dumped me over to the 'watch and jewelry' warranty department which is run by yet another 3rd party vendor. What a conflict of interest! Paying money to a company to manage their warranty/replacements. I still have the watch and there is still significant condensation on the crystal and in the watch. Will update later.
Beautiful watch, great movement. December 19, 2009 Edgar Hoey (N. Berwick, ME United States) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
this is a comfortable beautiful watch. Chronograph and watch keeps good time, beautiful looking movement.
It's too bad the other reviewer had a problem with his watch. I must say though, that people can be misled by and don't really understand the water resistance of different watches.lthis watch is rated for 50m or 165 feet. Appropriate use for this rating would be showers, splashing washing dishes, or in the rain, but not swimming. I would go swimming with a watch only over 100 meters of water resistance. Most watch manuals come with a chart of what the meters vs activity. A quick guideline is:
50 ft, no water exposure
100 ft light rain, minor splashing.
165 ft heavy rain, splashing.
300 ft swimming, snorkling
600 ft scuba diving
900 ft any diving a person can do without a helmut.
1500 meters deep sea diving.
Still like it August 20, 2009 J. Lok 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I spent about $2k in Amazon comparing $3k+ in a local store. I didn't wear this baby on any sports. I read some reviews said this watch is not working after a period. But my watch fortunately still works great after 1+ year now.
